Hiatus

Standard

I want to apologize for my recent lack of posts. I started this blog to begin my journey providing services to those who want to become pregnant, are pregnant, or have recently had a baby in order to provide support for those who want or wanted natural birthing experiences. Well, I realized I was completely miserable working in my previous job for many reasons and decided to make a career change. Part of this blog was to enter my own counseling/advocacy services but I couldn’t wait to build my business slowly and decided to take a job working as a Hospice Social Worker. I am finally in my comfort zone with this new position and while they expect to give me more responsibilities soon, I do want to make this business a priority. I plan to be more active in posting more resources and services as well as helpful articles but I am estimating January as my more productive month once the holidays are behind us. If anyone is interested in services please do not hesitate to contact me. I can also help to find you resources in Northern Michigan if you are looking or curious.

About Purposeful Journey

I have my LLMSW from Grand Valley State University. I offer therapeutic services specifically targeted towards providing support and counseling to pregnant women and their families. It is clear to me that there is a lack of support and services in Northern Michigan to families who would like a natural birth process and are unable to do so due to limited resources. I work as an advocate to those families prior to pregnancy, during and after to provide counseling, suppport, and advocacy.

  1. Another Hiatus…Of course I apologize then disappear for awhile. I could easily blame the holidays but seriously its been more than 6 months. Here’s the real deal. I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant in January after some other health suspicions. The pregnancy was ferocious until about March and then I just got distracted with other responsibilities. I finally figured out my lost password journal and other identifying information for the site and I am back. I have a ton of information to share and I will attempt to post weekly from here on out. And… we are expecting Baby Girl #3 in late September! My husband is still convinced that we are having a boy but Im pretty sure the ultrasound was accurate.
